ANNOUNCEMENTS:

It's that time of the year again and once again Honda of Norfolk will be hosting our annual After the Holiday's party.
This year's party will be held on Sunday January 8, 2012 at Honda of Norfolk. Arrival time around 1:00 p.m. and meal time at 2:00 p.m. Honda will be providing the Ham and Turkey and members are asked to bring their favorite dish or a dessert.
If volunteers are interested in helping the folks at Honda with the cooking or setting up the tables and chairs please contact Dave Hunter or Mike Norman. They can always use the help.
There will be door prizes again this year and we will also have a special 50/50 drawing for those who wish to participate.

At the last meeting the annual elections were held and Dale Miller was elected as our new Vice President. Jim Williamson was re-elected as President; Jeff Brown, Secretary and Dave Seate, Treasurer.

Our next scheduled meeting will be on Thursday January 26, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Honda of Norfolk.
The HROT Virginia Grand Tour is about over for 2011. If you have finished your book be sure to turn it in to get your finisher's pin.

This is The 2011 Virginia Grand Tour
- Saturday rides - Fall and riding season is here. We ride every Saturday, weather permitting.
Dress for the weather. If it's not raining out in the morning, we still ride, but occasionally we get caught in the rain while out. If there is a chance of rain, bring rain gear with you.
- Honda of Norfolk needs your used motor oil.
If you have used motor oil (any kind) for disposal, bring it in to Honda of Norfolk. They use a waste oil burner for heat and they can use all you got. Yes, even during the summer. They store it up so that they have if for next winter. Any questions, give them a call, 857-0107.
MEETINGS:
Regular meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of every month (except for November and December) at Honda of Norfolk.

WEEKLY RIDE:
Don't forget our weekly ride every Saturday.
We depart from Honda of Norfolk at 9:30 a.m.
- Destination Ride:
One weekend a month we choose a destination to visit and we depart early to allow ourselves time to visit our selected location. We choose the destination out our meeting, and we go on the following Saturday. On the weekends that we have a destination ride, the normal departure will be from Honda of Norfolk, and the time will be set at the meeting (typically at 8:00 am or 8:30 am as needed.
- Inclement weather guidelines:
Normally we don't ride if it is already raining in the morning. However, if it is not yet raining in the morning, we often ride even if the weather forecast indicates a chance of rain or scattered showers. If there is any chance of rain, remember to BRING YOUR RAIN GEAR.
During the winter we continue to ride as long as it is above freezing and there isn't any chance of rain or ice. Be prepared, dress for the cold. It's not uncommon for us to ride 100 miles or more on a winter Saturday.
