Ride to Eat! At least that is what people accuse us of. But the truth is we all need to eat sometime. On a Saturday ride, we might ride as little as 100 miles or maybe as much as 400 miles. Life would get pretty hard on the leader of a ride if he didn't have someplace to stop to eat at meal time. We have travelled deep into Virginia and North Carolina and have found several good places to eat. They vary greatly in style and menu selection, but on a Saturday ride, it isn't really about the food. (But I promise, they are all good enough for repeat visits). Just a destination for a truly enjoyable ride. If you would like to suggest a good place to stop and eat, let me know. I will be glad to list any place you recommend. ** Cole's Point Tavern - There's nothing pretty about this place, but it is interesting none-the-less. It is technically in Maryland. The Virginia-Maryland border is right on the Virginia side of the river. So as soon as you step out onto the "pier" that Cole's Point Tavern is on, you are in Maryland. Different rules apply.
